HEXA GEAR for beginners: the machine or the Governor first?

HEXA GEAR for beginners: the machine or the Governor first?

HEXA GEAR looks wonderfully deep from the outside: powerful machines, armoured pilots called Governors, and enough detail to make you imagine the world around them. If you are picking your first kit, the useful question is simple: do you want to build the machine first, or meet the person who might drive it?

Start with the machine: HEXA GEAR Levante

Choose HG135 Levante if the machine itself is the attraction. Its design can change between humanoid, vehicle and interceptor forms, so the finished kit gives you several ways to display the same build. The blade-like silhouette and opening cockpit make it a centrepiece for a shelf or a scene.

This is the route for someone who enjoys engineering details, transformation and photographing a larger mechanical subject. Think about where you will display it, and leave yourself room to change its pose or form after building.

Start with the pilot: Governor Para-Pawn Sentinel Ver.2.0

Choose HG131 Para-Pawn Sentinel Ver.2.0 if you like characters, poses and world-building. At about 74 mm tall, the Governor has a very different presence from Levante. The kit includes head and weapon options, giving you a quick way to decide who your pilot is before you build a larger scene around them.

A Governor is also a good subject for close-up photos: change the head or equipment, try a new pose, and the same character can suggest a different mission. That is part of the fun of HEXA GEAR’s connected world.

Which one fits your shelf?

  • Pick Levante for a transforming mechanical centrepiece and a longer build project.
  • Pick the Sentinel for a compact character kit with pose and equipment choices.
  • Like both? Start with whichever design makes you want to open the box. A machine and a Governor can tell a stronger story together.

A fit note: Levante’s listing says its cockpit can hold a separately sold Governor, but it also warns that not every Governor is compatible. Check the specific pairing before buying them for a seated-pilot display. The images above show the individual products; other kits and accessories are sold separately unless the listing says otherwise.
